Winter Quarter 2017 Chapter focus is professional development. In response to member feedback, we've planned an entire quarter of workshops tailored to help our members succeed.
All meetings are at 7pm in the Raza Resource Centro (Student Center East first floor, behind Cashier's Office) unless otherwise noted.
Career Fair Preparation Workshop 1/17: Maria Winters gives overview of how she landed 3 different summer internships; resume do's, don't's, and peer-critiques.
Linked In Workshop 1/31: Local Human Resources professional will give us tips on how to better your profile and lead us through how recruiters use Linked In to fill their companies' needs.
Joining a Lab on Campus 2/14: Join our rountable discussion led by upperclassmen and graduate student members to get all your questions answered.
Student Research Presentations 2/28: Our members will be afforded the opportunity to work on their public speaking and presentation skills in whatever format they'd like (poster/PowerPoint/etc). Sign up here if interested in presenting.
Growth Mindset Workshop 3/1: Professor Adam Burgasser will be leading a talk on overcoming mental obstacles to achieve our goals.
